Per FDA guidelines, we are required to include either a Manufacture Date or a Best By Date on our products. We have chosen to use a Best By Date, which is provided by our supplier. It’s important to note that our products do not have a shelf-life or expiration date. The Best By Date ensures that the product will maintain its quality and beneficial potency up until that point.

If stored properly (in a cool, dry, and dark place with low humidity), the Best By Date can often be extended by another 3 to 4 months. The key takeaway is that the product remains consumable after the Best By Date, though it may lose some potency over time.

Shelf-life refers to a completely different type of date. It requires extensive testing to determine, where a sample of the product undergoes various environmental stress tests (like temperature, humidity, and other factors) to assess how long it retains its quality. This process essentially “ages” the product to establish the latest date it can be safely consumed or used.

An expiration date refers to when a product spoils and becomes unsafe to consume. Unlike perishable goods like milk, eggs, meats, and fresh produce, our products do not spoil or rot. They are powders, raw ingredients, or freeze-dried foods, which do not have an expiration date. For this reason, we use the Best By Date to ensure the product retains its quality, rather than an expiration date.
