Organic Maltodextrin in Coconut Milk

Maltodextrin is widely used in foods and is generally recognized as safe at normal intake levels. The small amount in our Coconut Milk Powder (about 10%) is well within the range regarded as safe and is added only to prevent clumping and ensure the powder dissolves properly.
Our product specifically uses organic rice maltodextrin, which is generally viewed as cleaner and more natural, is typically non-GMO, and carries a lower allergy risk than other maltodextrin. Many customers who are sensitive tolerate rice-based maltodextrin better, as it is gentler on digestion.
Few studies note possible digestive or gut-microbiome effects at high intake levels, but these findings do not reflect the small amount present in a serving of our coconut milk powder. Individuals with unique sensitivities may still choose to limit it based on personal preference.
Lastly, the 10% maltodextrin used in this product is the lowest percentage we could source in the market while still maintaining a functional, non-clumping coconut milk powder.
Overall, the product remains safe to consume, and the maltodextrin used is organic, plant-derived, and included only at the minimal level needed for quality and usability.
